LOS ANGELES, CA, October 8, 2015 – GTX Corp Signs M2M Agreement with Telefónica Germany and Launches GPS SmartSoles in Germany Delivering the Next Big Step in Wearable Technology across Europe
GTX Corp. (OTCBB: GTXO), a leading provider of wearable monitoring and tracking solutions using GPS, Cellular and BLE technology, announced signing an agreement with Telefónica Germany. Under this agreement GTX Corp will leverage Telefónica’s global Smart M2M platform and relationships across Europe. The Smart M2M (SM2M) agreement enables GTX Corp’s patented GPS SmartSole and other innovative GPS and cellular tracking and monitoring solutions to be deployed across the globe using one SIM card and provisioning backend platform, complimenting Telefonica’s telematics portfolio of novel products and solutions.
Helmut Schnierle, Head of M2M Sales at Telefonica Germany commented, “Our Smart M2M is a perfect ready-to-use solution that will enable GTX Corp to manage their global connectivity processes without having to invest in M2M development and IT infrastructure. With Our API, GTX will be able to easily integrate their backend with our Smart M2M platform. The SmartSoles received a lot of attention at our 2015 Innovation Conference and we were pleased to host the GTX management team at our annual conference and look forward to working with them to plan our go to market strategy.”
“We are excited to be launching the GPS SmartSole in cooperation with Telefónica Germany to address the rapidly growing demand in Germany which has approximately 1.6 million people afflicted with dementia as well as other memory disorders associated with wandering such as autism and TBI,” stated Andrew Duncan Director of Business Development for GTX Corp.
GTX Corp’s flagship product, the GPS SmartSoles are a stigma free, safety and security unobtrusive monitoring and tracking solution for those who suffer from Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism, TBI and other memory disorders and have a tendency to wander. The patented GPS SmartSoles, which were featured in AARP’s 2015 technology gear guide and came in 2nd place, runner up to Microsoft 1st and Samsung taking 3rd place, in the 2015 Wearables, Health, Fitness & Wellness category at CTIA’s Hot for the Holidays Awards competition, are placed in the wearer’s shoes and contain a high accuracy miniaturized GPS tracking chip connected through a cellular network that sends a signal to the GTX Corp proprietary IoT platform monitoring website or smart phone app, showing the exact location of the individual wearing them. The SmartSoles come in 2 trim to fit sizes and will initially be available for sale in Germany at way4net.
Patrick Bertagna GTX Corp CEO stated, “The wearables market for health, wellness and personal safety is on the edge of a significant stride forward thanks to new and innovative technologies that provide the means to collect and manage vital data in a more convenient and automated fashion. Our partnership with Telefonica is significant because unlike other M2M devices once the SmartSoles are made there is no physical access to the SIM card and hence having a partner that can support our connectivity requirements and pricing demands from our customers is paramount to our global go to market strategy.“
