mCareWatch Pty Ltd Signs distribution agreement and places first commercial order with GTX Corp
Los Angeles, Calif. – May 7, 2015 – GTX Corp. (OTCQB: GTXO), a leading provider of personal location GPS wearable technology and wandering assistive technology, announced today the signing of a distribution agreement with mCareWatch Pty Ltd, an Australian healthcare technology company focused on providing market leading assisted living, mobile health and tele-care solutions.
mCareWatch introduced the patented SmartSole® wandering assistive wearable technology at the Global Business Technology Event- CeBIT, May 5 – 7 at Sydney Olympic Park. mCareWatch has placed its first commercial order which is scheduled to ship next week and will begin selling the SmartSole in Australia in May.
Andrew Duncan, Director of International Sales at GTX Corp, remarked, “There are close to 350,000 people living with dementia in Australia, with 1,800 new cases diagnosed every week and an estimated 1.2 million caregivers. As part of our global go to market strategy, we are excited to begin selling our flagship GPS SmartSole in Australia and we look forward to a successful launch at CeBIT and long-lasting relationship with mCareWatch.”
Peter Apostolopoulos, co-director and founder of mCareWatch commented, “The latest figures on Australia’s aging population have sparked ongoing debates in social, economic and political spheres. The elderly, disabled and those with special needs have constant concerns about health and safety in their daily lives, and in too many cases, this seriously limits their confidence, mobility and independence. This is why we are excited to partner with GTX Corp and offer the Australian senior community an innovative solution such as the GPS SmartSole that can immediately provide safety and security to the wearer and peace of mind to their caregiver.”
GTX Corp’s patented GPS SmartSoles, which were featured in AARP’s 2015 technology gear guide are placed in the wearer’s shoes and contain a GPS tracking chip connected through a global GSM cellular network that sends a signal to a central monitoring website or app showing the exact location of the individual wearing the SmartSoles. They come in several trim to fit sizes for both men and women, are made with the highest quality electronic components and assembled in Rhode Island, U.S.A.
The value behind the SmartSole Platform is its ability to be a ‘wearable’ yet ‘invisible’ stigma free monitoring solution that alerts a caregiver when the wearer wanders off, sending a text or email to the caregiver’s phone and computer, with a direct link to a map plotting the wanderer’s location.
