Special Issue: Back to School
It is hard to believe that summer is ending and that means that school is back in session. As the new school year gets underway, incoming students are adjusting to a new schedule and new teachers, navigating classes and peer groups, and just simply trying to figure themselves out. However, for children on the autism spectrum, the return to school can be much more complex.
The challenges are unique that kids with autism face. Transitioning from a carefree summer to the hustle and bustle of back-to-school season can be particularly tough. We want to ensure that you have access to the resources you need to help you and your loved one with autism prepare for a successful academic school year. So this year, we decided to create a digital back to school resource kit.
All month long, we will focus on getting you and your family prepared to ensure a smooth transition back to school. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for additional information. We hope you find this special issue of Autism Matters beneficial.
P.S.-Find out what resources are available to you.
Until next time,
