Parents! Join in a Medical Research Survey About Autism

GTX Corp has been in the business of developing wandering assistive technology for over 10 years, and we know that wandering, particularly by children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disorders, is a serious safety issue and stressor upon families and communities.  It is estimated that more than 250,000 children with disabilities wander away from adult supervision each year.  Few researchers have looked at this major issue, and there has been little focus on prevention measures and the impact that wandering has on families.

Now, the Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York is conducting a major national study about wandering, and we encourage all of our friends who are parents or guardians of children with Autism to participate! The more research that is done to gather information about wandering, the better we can all work towards innovation in wandering prevention, monitoring solutions and child safety.

It takes just a few minutes to complete the anonymous, on-line questionnaire.

If enough families complete the Cohen Children’s Medical Center questionnaire, then:

evaengineer2– It will produce the most representative study done to date – giving voice to as many families as possible

– It will help guide families impacted about which prevention strategies seem to be most effective

– It will document the impact that wandering has on families in terms of activities and household stress

Please click HERE or visit www.WanderingResearch.com to take the survey, request a copy of the results, and be contacted regarding a follow-up research project related to wandering.

We thank you in advance for your participation and support,
